Exclusive Embroidery Partner for the Return of the Iconic Victoria’s Secret Show in New York
October 2024– On October 15, 2024, the legendary Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made its highly anticipated comeback in New York. Joining the world-famous lingerie label was the traditional embroidery company Forster Rohner from St. Gallen. Forster Rohner was exclusively responsible for the intricate lingerie embroideries and textile accessories that captivated the runway, worn by top models such as Kate Moss and Adriana Lima.
This unique collaboration marked a significant milestone: for the first time in the history of the Victoria’s Secret Show, all embroideries were fully crafted by Forster Rohner. Emanuel Forster, CEO of Forster Rohner, emphasized the strong bond between the two brands: “Victoria’s Secret is a fantastic partner with an amazing team. We share a mutual passion for the product, and with our embroideries, we continuously find fresh, new ways to fascinate and inspire.”
"We want to show the world who we work with"
In May 2024, the Victoria’s Secret creative team visited Forster Rohner’s archive in St. Gallen to develop the designs for the show. "We sat on the floor together, letting our creativity flow, and started developing the first ideas," recalls Elisheva Senn, Head of the Forster Rohner Lingerie Business Unit.
Janie Schaffer, Chief Creative and Design Officer at Victoria’s Secret, praised Forster Rohner’s exceptional craftsmanship and keen attention to detail: “We want to show the world who we work with – a traditional, high-quality supplier deeply rooted in haute couture,” she highlighted. “With the Swiss-based textile company Forster Rohner, we’ve created the most inspiring looks our runway has ever seen. Every mimicked feather is carefully thought out, every sequin is precisely hand-stitched, and each design tells its own story.”
From St. Gallen to New York
Victoria’s Secret began communicating about the St. Gallen embroidery company weeks before the show. Last summer, two Forster Rohner employees, Sales Director Juliette Schwander and designer Seraina Ryffel, traveled to New York to collaborate on social media content that expressed the inspiration and creativity behind this partnership. These posts were featured on Victoria’s Secret’s Instagram channel. For the Forster Rohner team, it was a special highlight to share the story of this unique partnership through social media. The excitement peaked when the company received six exclusive tickets to the Victoria’s Secret Show, which they experienced live yesterday.
